Italic yearbook
ILLUSTRATION   |   MAGAZINE COVER

Filling the brim with inside jokes

This New Yorker magazine cover immortalizes the forty-eight undergraduate students and faculty who piloted Stanford University's first artistic residential program in its inaugural year. ITALIC (Immersion in the Arts: Living in Culture) is now one of the popular design programs at Stanford University. The illustration style is inspired by visiting artist Ivan Brunetti, whose cartoon illustrations graced The New Yorker's covers multiple times.
